How does this work?

The artist Ralgo (http://x.com/@artralgo) has produced some generative algorithms using p5js. These are plugged into emprops.ai (http://x.com/@emprops_ai)

Using the Emprops variable prompt system – one of billions of prompts is selected and sent to a stable diffusion engine along with the random image generated by Ralgo’s algorithm.

This process is repeated to produce a stream of artworks.

Ralgo curates and selects between 0 and 20 artworks every day (Monday to Saturday). These are posted to the X/Twitter account http://x.com/aam001a – X/twitter users are asked to retweet and like the artworks.

Every Sunday, the artwork with the most likes during the previous week is minted as an NFT on Foundation (https://foundation.app/collection/aam001a) as the community winner. Ralgo will also select an artwork as the artist choice to be minted as an NFT on Foundation.

Any valid twitter account* that has retweeted AND liked the specific community winning artwork is entered into a random draw and the winner announced on @aam001a and @artralgo accounts. The winner then has 7 days to claim the community winning artwork NFT by providing an Ethereum account. That account can then decide to keep, sell or give away the artwork NFT.

If the winning account provides an Ethereum account the community winning artwork NFT will be sent to the given address. If the artwork is not claimed it will stay in the abundantart.eth account along with the artists selection.

At any time abundant.art can select to give away or auction any artworks in the abundantart.eth account at its own discretion.

*Most twitter accounts are valid – invalid accounts are ones that have (in the judgement of abundant.art) been set up to game the system. Whatever abundart.art decides to do in this regard is final.

So all I have to do is follow and retweet/like the artworks I like?

Yes, and you may be given an Artwork NFT to use how you like.

What happens if there is a tie (same number of likes)?

Retweets are then counted. If still a tie then the artwork with the lower number of views will be declared the winner.

Someone from abundant.art has DM me – is this real?

The only reason anyone from abundant.art would DM you first is if you are publicly announced as a winner of the community artwork and have not provided an ETH address. Abundant.art will never ask you to send anything other than your public ETH account address – anything else and someone is trying to scam you so be careful.

What about IP rights?

All abundant.art mints use CC BY-NC 4.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/

This allows collectors to share, adapt and print the artworks on a non-commercial basis as long as attribution is given.

How long will AAM001a go on for?

This is an exploration. Maybe it will last 10 weeks, maybe 10 years or longer. The AI technologies are changing rapidly so if it makes sense to evolve then abundart.art will. There are many unknowns and dependencies so there are are no guarantees things won’t suddenly break in their current form and abundant.art may need to adapt.

Will there be other abundant.art experiments?

Probably – AI art is too exciting and fast moving not to do things. However, there are no firms plans for anything else at present.
